Retirement notice: Réal Tessier, Executive Director, Facilities Management and Development
To all faculty and staff:
Mr. Réal Tessier, Executive Director, Facilities Management and Development, has informed us of his desire to retire as of January 31, 2007.
Mr. Tessier joined 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ in 1998 and during his term, he reorganized the Facilities Management and Development into the structure that is in place today.
Mr. Tessier has led the University in the areas of energy conservation, campus beautification and campus renewal/deferred maintenance. Under his leadership, 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ has completed over $115 million worth of new, large construction projects, as well as advancing on the new Life Sciences Complex (190,000 square feet). In addition, extensive renovations and upgrading of teaching and research facilities, and their underlying infrastructure, have been carried out during his term.
On behalf of all faculty and staff, I would like to thank Mr. Tessier for his service to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, for the implementation of sound construction management principles that will serve our University in the future, and for the enhancements made to the campus environment that we will continue to enjoy on a daily basis.
I am confident the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community will join me in extending best wishes to Mr. Tessier for a well-deserved happy and healthy retirement.
