Génome Québec invests up to $500,000 to boost RNA therapeutics innovation in Quebec
Génome Québec, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing genomics research and innovation in Quebec, is investing up to $500,000 in 91˿Ƶ’s D2R Initiative. This investment will advance the commercialization of innovative genomic technologies in Quebec through D2R’s Commercialization Priming funding program.
Researchers at 91˿Ƶ have made in the development of all-solid-state lithium batteries, which are being pursued as the next step in electric vehicle (EV) battery technology.
By addressing a long-standing issue with battery performance, this innovation could pave the way for safer, longer-lasting EVs.
In continuing our commitment to providing a high-quality and intensive Master of Public Policy program and in recognition of an ever-increasing cost of living, the Max Bell School will be increasing our entrance scholarships to $15,000 each for eligible Canadian applicants (citizens and permanent residents) beginning in fall 2025. These scholarships are based on merit, and all applicants will be considered automatically unless otherwise specified. The funding will be awarded to accepted students during their year attending the MPP program.

A recent study at 91˿Ƶ provides new insights into how winter storms develop in the St. Lawrence River Valley, findings that could potentially improve the accuracy of winter weather forecasts in the region.
“These findings are essential because even small temperature shifts, as little as one degree, can drastically change the type of precipitation, turning rain into freezing rain or snow,” said Juliann Wray, lead author and PhD student in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences.
