Internal Responsibility System: Health and Safety for Laboratory Managers

91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ students, staff and faculty must register online using the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Human Resources Staff Development course registration system.

Cost: Free for 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Community (students, staff and faculty). When registering using the on-line registration system you will be prompted to enter a FOAPAL - no FOAPAL is required therefore leave the field blank.

Content: A safe and healthful environment is vital to the attainment of the University’s teaching and research mission and no undertaking should be considered so important that it be pursued in an unsafe manner. This course has been designed for professors and supervisors who are responsible for the operation of research or teaching labs. Participants will become familiar with their internal and legal responsibilities and learn about lab safety management principles, the concept of due diligence, as well as the available systems, resources and applicable policies for effective laboratory safety management at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ.
