Data about the impact of human rights interventions at a global level are needed to ensure effective policy decision-making. A report from the International Initiative for Impact EvaluationÌýsystematically identifies, maps, and describes the evidence base of interventions that aim to strengthen human rights, according to a framework of 23 interventions and 28 outcomes.ÌýProfessor Pearl Eliadis was in the advisory committee of this project that includes 377 impact evaluations and 46 systematic reviews, mainly in countries in the Global South.ÌýThe primary outcomes measured by systematic reviews and quantitative impact evaluations relate to the incidence of non-institutional violence followed by attitudes, beliefs, and norms around human rights and/or populations historically at risk of discrimination.

The map was commissioned by USAID's Center for Democracy, Human Rights and Governance.
