Duo M is a violin and piano duo based in Montreal. Duo M represents the happy and affinity-filled encounter of two Canadian artists, violinist Violaine Melançon and pianist Meagan Milatz, eager to bring a sense of curiosity, exploration and discovery to the stage. Violaine and Meagan's first collaboration took place at the International Academy of Music and Dance at Domaine Forget. They quickly discovered a shared desire for authenticity in their relationship with the audience and in their lively, imaginative and new interpretations. The mission of Duo M is to create a link and dialogue between works from diverse but often surprisingly complementary artistic voices, presented in thought-provoking programs through unexpected musical encounters, and thus to invite their audience to a deep and renewed listening experience.

Duo M represents the meeting of two like-minded Canadian artists, violinist Violaine Melançon and pianist Meagan Milatz, wishing to bring a sense of curiosity, exploration and discovery to the concert stage. Violaine and Meagan's first project took place in 2021 at the Domaine Forget International Music and Dance Academy. They discovered a shared strong desire for authenticity in every way, from their interaction with the audience to their lively, imaginative and fresh interpretations. Their aim as a Duo is to create a narrative dialogue between pieces from a wide range of compositional voices programmed in a thoughtful and unusual way, through which they can create a deep and exciting listening experience for the audience.
