Dr. Gabriel Altit completed his medical school at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, followed by his Pediatric and Neonatology residencies at Université de Montréal. He pursued his training at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ (Montreal Children’s Hospital [MUHC]) in echocardiography scanning. Following that, he did a post-doctoral research training in the pediatric ECHO laboratory at Stanford University. He completed a MSc in Epidemiology at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ (2017-2020). He joined back 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ and the Montreal Children's Hospital as a Neonatologist in October 2017. Since his appointment as clinician- scientist at the MUHC-RI, he has created the NeoCardioLab (). In 2020, he launched the Neonatal Hemodynamics Clinical Research Fellowship at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, for which he is the program director, with ECHO techniques applied to research questions. Further, the NeoCardioLab application is now available on iPhone, iPad and Android. It offers numerous educational resources and is used by experts in the field daily, throughout the world.Ìý

- Knowledge Translation/Expertise: I am a member of the Fetus and Newborn committee of the Canadian Paediatric Society, the Canadian Neonatal Network/EPIQ and a consultant for INESSS, allowing me to participate in the development of national guidelines (such as inhaled nitric oxide for newborns, pulse oximetry screening and ductus management).
