Environmental Engineering (Faculty of Engineering)

Overview

The goal of environmental engineering is to make sure that societal development and the use of water, land and air resources are sustainable. This is done by managing resources so that environmental pollution and degradation is minimized.

As an environmental engineer, you will study water, soil and air pollution problems. With this knowledge, you can develop technical solutions needed to solve these problems in a way that acknowledges legislative, economic, social and political concerns.

Any student in Engineering can pursue the Environmental Engineering minor.

Careers

With a background in environmental engineering, you can use your skills to help industries and governments make their projects more sustainable. Not only are there many career opportunities specific to the field, the minor can help you to work these principles into other areas of engineering.
