Saki Kajita
B. Eng. Computer Engineering 2016

Get involved! Find something you like and dive in! I was part of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering Student Society (ECSESS), because I was passionate about the students in ECSE [Electrical, Computer & Software Engineering]. I think ECSE students are all great people and wanted to do something to give back to the community. Meet Saki

Jonathan Verrett
B.Eng. Chemical Engineering 2011 & PhD Chemical Engineering 2016

Academics can be very difficult, but I think it's very important to look outside of your courses for opportunities to apply the skills you are learning. That could mean anything, from getting involved in students clubs, to tutoring, to getting internships related to your field of study. If you get a chance to go see another place or institution, take it, you will learn so much just by being in a different space.Ìý Meet Jonathan

C. Deane Pittman
B.Eng. (Mechanical); Minor in Management 1981

When I graduated in 1981, I had no firm plans for my career (I believe this is the norm).Ìý I was extremely fortunate to work for a company (P&G) that helped me work through the many things I was interested in as a career.Ìý They also helped me determine directions that I did not want in my career.Ìý It is not easy, but Career Planning will be the most important activity you can do to advance your career.Ìý The 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Engineering Career Centre can help.Ìý Meet Deane
