IMPORTANT NOTE: Update for Prospective Advanced Standing DMD Students (Next admission cycle, this present cycle being in progress)
We are pleased to announce an important change to the curriculum for our Advanced Standing DMD program, beginning in September 2025. The program will be extended from a 2-year and 6-month format to a 3-year program, starting in September 2025 (and no longer in December of the same year as in the previous years).
This adjustment aims to provide a more comprehensive educational experience for our students, aligned with the new DMD curriculum.
Due to this change, the admissions cycle for the next cycle will be advanced significantly.
Applications will open in January 2025, and candidates will need to submit all required documents, including transcripts and proof of French proficiency, by the application deadline of March 1st 2025. Interviews will take place in April 2025, with admission offers extended between May and June 2025.

The DMD Advanced Standing for Foreign Trained Dentists Pathway is intended for graduates of international dental programs that are not accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC). Internationally trained dentists that would like to complete their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree should apply for this program.
Successful candidates will be awarded their DMD degree after completing 2.5 years of the DMD program. Students accepted into the DMD Advanced Standing for Foreign Trained Dentists Pathway are placed in the second half of the second year of the four-year DMD program.
The number of positions available for this pathway varies every year depending on the space available. Successful candidates will begin the program in early December.
