Dear Members of the 91˿Ƶ community,
91˿Ƶ is home to a vibrant international community, and many of us have roots in countries around the world. Global crises can affect us all.
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has been a source of deep preoccupation to many of us. As Principal of our university, I am reminded of the need for – and the potential fragility of – stability and peace in order to pursue higher learning and the advancement of knowledge.

In celebration of three important milestones, the 85th birthday of a true 91˿Ƶ champion, the beginning of the University’s third century, and the upcoming 65th anniversary of his class, a brand new named award is being established in 91˿Ƶ's Faculty of Education to celebrate Thomas B. Thompson (BSc(PE) ’58, Med ’78), a Physical Education alumnus with a proven track record of community service.

Members of the sport say it's time for a collective reflection on unacceptable behaviour from coaches and success is not an excuse for aggressive behaviour, especially when it comes to young athletes.

Born in France and raised in Quebec, Iona Amico is the daughter of a Cameroonian mom and an Italian dad who grew up biracial in a predominantly Caucasian neighbourhood.
