Application Process

We warmly welcomed our first expressions of interest from prospective DIAL mentees for the pilot project that began in September 2022. Interested participants sent a one-page expression of interest that spoke to the following points:

  • Reasons underlining the interest in participating in the DIAL
  • Past experiences in relation to academic leadership, which might be connect to either or both formal or informal roles and responsibilities
  • Main learning objectives tied to participation in the DIAL
  • Long-term professional goals
  • Vision of what makes an exceptional leader in a university context
  • Indication of the kind of academic leadership role (e.g., Provost, Dean, Associate Provost, Associate Dean, Chair) that would be most interesting to learn more about

Selections are made by the Equity Team members charged with oversight of mentorship initiatives for faculty at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ. Decisions are communicated two weeks after the submission deadlineÌýto all colleagues who have submitted expressions of interest.
