Are you a first-generation student?

There are many definitions of a first-generation student! At 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, we allow students to self-identify as first-generation.

Usually, a first-generation student is one whose parent(s) or caregiver(s) did not complete a four-year university degree. This can also include students whose parents did not complete a four-year degree in Canada or the United States, or students who are/were youth in care.

We would like to acknowledge that 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ is located on unceded land, which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabeg nations. 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ honours, recognizes and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which we meet today.
