The 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ School of Population and Global Health is an interdisciplinary institution that fosters high-impact research and education. A large part of the School's mission is to transform and improve the health of populations.
The School is the coming together of: Bioethics; Epidemiology, Biostatistics & Occupational Health; Global Health; as well as Health & Social Policy. These areas bring together an already established local and global foundation from which to disseminate reputable research, training and knowledge. Within these areas are an array of disciplines such as epidemiology, health policy, biostatistics, global health, public health and preventive medicine, law, occupational and environmental health, medical anthropology, healthcare architecture, history of medicine, health services research, sociology, economics and ethics.
The School will build on these and other substantial strengths within 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ and the Faculty of Medicine to meet the competitive aspects of the rapidly advancing field of population and global health. The aim is to bring solid contributions to the burgeoning health needs of Canada and the world.
