In June 2024, 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries launched a new book retrieval and delivery service - the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Collections Centre (MUCC). The MUCC is a groundbreaking,, 45,000 square-foot facility nestled in Valleyfield, Quebec. Here, MUCC staff members manage over 2 million borrowed and returned materials using state-of-the-art robotics, and an innovative, grid-like, aluminum retrieval system. 
Key features of the service include:
- Easy Requests: To request materials, simply find the item in the  and click on the "Hold" button.
- Daily Deliveries: An electric service vehicle will be used to make deliveries five days per week, ensuring timely access to requested materials.
- Convenient Pick-Up Locations: Pick up your requested materials at a library location of your choice when placing your hold in the catalogue.
- Faculty office delivery: Faculty members with a campus address that is served by 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s internal mail system can have library materials delivered to their offices.
- Article / chapter scan service: Users can request scanned copies of journal articles or book chapters from the print collections of the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries, to be sent to a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ email address.
- Distance borrowing: 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ students and faculty living at least 100km away from campus whose address during term is registered with the University as within Canada or the Continental US can borrow books without coming to the libraries.
Getting the books you need to succeed is integral to 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Libraries’ mission. The MUCC plays a key role in enhancing the community’s access to information.
