Location
Ormstown is a town located approximately 60 km southwest of Montreal. The teaching site is part of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Montérégie Ouest.

Family Medicine
Rotation primarily done in Hospital & Clinic.
Trainees are expected at the Medical Center (clinic) at 8:30 am on the first day of the rotation.

- Home care/visits
- Minor Procedures
- On-Call
- Ward and Patient Services
- Other clinical exposure: Minor Surgery
General Surgery

Lodging
Type of Lodging
Lodging is provided by the establishment, and is located across the street from the hospital and 4 minutes from the clinic by car.
Trainees are lodged in ashared apartment. This 3-room apartment is shared by other students and medical professionals. Trainees have a private room and share common gender neutral areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room).
Trainees must book their lodging 3 weeks prior to the rotation by emailing the site coordinator.
Lodging can be available the evening before the first day of the rotation.
Trainees are expected at the Medical Centre (clinic) at 8:30 am on the first day of the rotation.
►Note: It is important that everyone does their share to keep all common areas clean and safe at any time.

Depending on the location of their base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.
Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.
NOTE: For all students making their own arrangements. All students will be required to attend a mandatory Progress Test at the end of each block. PLEASE do not make any travel arrangements before confirming the exact date of your test.
Traveling by Car
• From Montreal, take Highway # 20 West toward the Mercier Bridge. Keep right on the Mercier bridge and take route 138 West until Ormstown. At Ormstown, continue past first flashing light. At 2nd flashing light, turn right onto Gale Street. The hospital is on your left.
Use of Personal Vehicle.
