Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Faculty was unable to hold its usual day of student poster presentations at New Residence Hall in November. An online research event was instead held for Summer 2020 research bursary recipients and their supervisors.
The remote event took place via Zoom on November 13, 2020 (11:30 AM to 12:30 PM). The hour began with a presentation by guest speaker, Dr. Lysanne Campeau, Associate Professor, Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, Jewish General Hospital, Lady Davis Institute: "Science for a clinician: Developing your passion".
The following six Summer 2020 students also presented with 3 minute talks to share their summer research experiences: Isabella Bozzo (MDCM), Jeremy Levett, (MDCM) Owen Luo (MDCM), Mariam Morgan (OT), Lucille Xiang (PT), Sarah Zhou (MDCM).
An announcement of research report prizes was made after the student presentations. This included prizes for the Faculty's Fall 2019, Winter 2020 and Summer 2020 research bursary programs. Congratulations go out to the following award recipients:
