Background
The current Request for Proposal (RFP) provides the details to apply for the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity (MI4) Seed Fund Grant (SFG) competition focused on Microbiomes and Rheumatic Diseases (M-RD), made possible by a generous donation from the Duthie Saunders Estate.
The overarching goal of MI4 is to bring together investigators from across the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ community and its partners to foster interdisciplinary research.
With a re-focussing of its scope in 2022, MI4 supports efforts to discover, develop, and implement innovative solutions for microbial threats to human health across the lifespan.
All proposals for this special M-RD SFG call must align with the study area below:
- Microbiomes and Rheumatic Diseases.
All applications will be ranked by the same criteria as described in Section 8.2 of the RFP below, and the two highest-ranked will be funded.
In the current round of the MI4 SFG program, funds are available to support up to twoÌýgrants for a maximum of $150,000 each for a grant term of 24 months.
