Research Interests


--- Perception, cognition, and cortical processing of naturalistic non-speech sound events
--- Integration of information from multiple sensory modalities
--- Quantitative models of the perceptual processing of sensory information

--- 2001–2005: Ph.D., Perception and Psychophysics, Department of General Psychology, University of Padova, Italy and Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (STMS-IRCAM-CNRS), Paris, France, thesis: “Sound Source Perception in Impact Sounds”. Advisors: Prof. Stephen McAdams and Dr. Paola Bressan.
--- 1995–2000: Degree, Experimental Psychology, Faculty of Psychology, University of Padova, Italy, 110/110 cum laude, the Italian Degree (“laurea specialistica”) is equivalent to the Master’s degree. Thesis: “Psychophysics of timbre in piano tones”. Advisor: Prof. Giovanni B. Vicario.
