What is oneCard?
oneCard is a versatile account that can be added to students' 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID card; this account allows them to easily access multiple services on campus, without the hassle of carrying cash and debitÌýcards.Ìý Purchases made under this account are taxable at any food location on campus, vending machines, and other participating services on and off campus.
How do I purchase or activate my oneCard account?
If you are a downtown first year undergrad resident student on the Mandatory Meal Plan, your oneCard account is already active with $500. This initial charge will be found on your student fees account in September.
If you are a first year resident student living in Solin or the Shared Houses and Apartments your oneCard account is already active with $600. This initial charge will be found on your student fees account in September.
If you are a first year student in residence on Macdonald campus, your oneCard account is already active with $400.ÌýThis initial charge will be found on your student fees account in September.
For all other students:
You may activate your account through the secure oneCard Management portal site , the minimum buy-in is $50. Payments can be made by either Visa or MasterCard.

Where can I use oneCard?
New services are continuously being added to the oneCard. A partial list of locations where your oneCard can be used:
- At the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Campus Store to purchase course packs, 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ merch, books, stationery etc.
- At the All You Care to Eat Residence Dining Halls (3)
- At the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ on-campus retail food locations where oneCard is accepted: Subway, Dispatch, Vinh’s, etc.
- Food deliveries from select restaurants that have partnered with oneCard.
- Dine at several off campus locations that have partnered with oneCard
- Purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the Mac Market
Who can get a oneCard account?
- Students living in Residence on a Mandatory Meal Plan: In addition to your meal plan, you automatically have $500 on your oneCard account that can be used in the food locations on campus where the oneCard is honoured, vending machines and in participating off-campus locations.
- Students living in Solin and Shared Houses and Apartments: You automatically have $600 on your oneCard to buy food from the 4 dining halls, campus cafés, vending machines and in participating off-campus locations.
- Students on a Saver Meal Plan: In addition to the tax exempt meal plan, you can also activate your oneCard account to use at select vending machines and in the food locations on/off campus where the oneCard is honoured.
- Non Resident 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Students: You are free to purchase the oneCard account as well. oneCard will give you access to all the services mentioned above.
What's the difference between oneCard and the Residential Mandatory Meal Plan?
As a residentÌýstudent, your oneCard is used for on-campus retail locations, as well as some off-campus locations and vending machines. The All You Care to Eat Mandatory Meal Plan is for use in the dining halls. That's why if you purchase food from Starbucks, for example, the funds will come out of your oneCard as it is a on-campus retail location.
Can my parents add funds to oneCard?
Yes! With your 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ student email address, your parents or anyone can top up your oneCard any time on the secure oneCard Mangement portal site
Payments can be made by either Visa or MasterCard credit cards.
Parents do not have access to other oneCard account information (balances, usage data, etc.)
What if I lose my oneCard?
You are responsible for all transactions made prior to the card being deactivated.
- First, contact 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ security and inform them of your lost ID card.
- Next, go to the oneCard website to deactivate your Meal Plan and your oneCard account.
- To get a new ID card, go to Service Point during office hours. Your meal plan and oneCard plan funds will be transferred onto your new ID card and activated for use immediately.

Getting a Replacement Card
To get a new oneCard (91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ ID card), go to Service Point during office hours.
You will need two government-issued photo identification cards, at least one with your photo is needed to get a replacement card.
A $25 fee (tax included) applies for all replacement cards and will be billed to your Student Fees Account. The funds left on your old oneCard will automatically be transferred to your new one.Ìý

There are two options:
- Go to the secure oneCard Mangement portal site,
- See your printed receipt following a purchase
Are oneCard dollars refundable?
Your oneCard account is active the entire time you are a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ student.ÌýoneCard dollars, with a value of $50 or more, can be refunded once you leaveÌýthe university except in cases where the balance includes promotional funds, or oneCard dollars allotted to the Mandatory Kosher Meal Plan.ÌýIf you need more information, contact posteam.shhs [at] mcgill.ca
