THE EDWARDS PH.D. STUDENTSHIPS IN PAIN RESEARCH
The Louise and Alan Edwards Foundation requests applications for their Edwards PhD. Studentships in Pain Research. The objective of these Studentships is to support full-time research in chronic pain that will be conducted at the Alan Edwards Centre for Research on Pain (on campus or at affiliated hospitals). Qualifying applicants must be students who have already been accepted into a PhD program at 91˿Ƶ supervised by an AECRP full member. Masters students may apply to this program, however, if selected, they must start their PhD by Sept 1st (proof of which must be submitted by September 30, 2024). This is a firm condition of this award. The Studentships have a stipend of $25,000 per annum. Funding is for two years with a third year contingent on mutual satisfaction.

The 91˿Ƶ Integrated Graduate Program in Neuroscience offers Neuroscience Recruitment Awards of $5,000 and $10,000 are offered to outstanding new applicants to our Masters and PhD programs and for students transferring within the GPNS from Masters to PhD. These awards are intended to attract the best students to the GPNS and to encourage them to stay in our graduate program through completion of their PhDs. These awards are one-time, no-strings-attached ,signing bonuses, above and beyond the stipends provided by the thesis supervisors.

MCGILL UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF MEDICINE
Faculty of Medicine Internal Studentships are open to highly qualified Faculty of Medicine graduate students who are registered full-time in a research training program leading to an M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree. Internal Studentships are tenable for one year starting September 1. The Faculty of Medicine contribution for an M.Sc. student is $10,000 and for a Ph.D. student is $12,000. Supervisors are expected to supplement funded applicants with a minimum contribution of $8,000. Students who apply for a Faculty of Medicine Internal Studentship are automatically considered for every award for which they are eligible. Successful applicants must be registered at 91˿Ƶ when applying and for the duration of the award. The deadline for applications is normally in April.
