Planning and Budget
The Provost and Executive Vice-President (Academic) is 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s chief budget officer, and is responsible for the annual design and delivery of the University’s institutional budget, which drives the activity of all academic and administrative units through operating, restricted, capital, and endowment funds. 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s principal revenues are derived from student tuition and support grants from the Quebec government; the University’s most significant expenditures are made in direct support of students and of 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ’s academic mission.
Budgetary decisions are driven by the University’s principles, as well as by key strategic commitments, as identified by President Saini’s priorities, and by the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Strategic Academic Plan.
The Analysis, Planning, and Budget team, led by Executive Director Dr. Richard Martin, is responsible for providing the University’s leadership with high-level analytical support to facilitate strategic decision-making. They are likewise responsible for the operational development of the University’s budget, culminating in the annual publication of the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Budget Book.
