The Ludmer Centre is a transdisciplinary, multicentre collaboration that unites, among other domains, research in genetics, epigenetics, neuroimaging, neuroscience, statistics and computer sciences. The Centre鈥檚 mission is to drive innovative big-data research into normal and abnormal brain development.

The Ludmer Centre 鈥�

  1. Builds innovative neuroinformatics infrastructure, datasets & algorithms

  2. Leads and supports 鈥榖ig-data鈥� research in brain health, specifically, mental illness and neurodegenerative research

  3. Invests in the future: mentoring and training new researchers

To accomplish this, the Ludmer Centre brings together cutting-edge neuroscience infrastructure and world-renowned researchers from three leading research institutions, all of which are 91丝瓜视频 centres:

  • the Douglas University Mental Health Institute,
  • the Jewish General Hospital鈥檚 Lady Davis Institute, and
  • the Montreal Neurological Institute.

The Ludmer Centre unites four complementary research pillars led by three Scientific Directors, world-renowned leaders in their field, supported by a growing cadre of dynamic early-career researchers and trainees.

Genomics, Bioinformatics & Statistical Genetics Pillar: Dr Celia Greenwood leads the Genomics, Bioinformatics & Statistical Genetics Pillar. She is a Professor in the departments of Oncology, Human Genetics, and Epidemiology; Biostatistics & Occupational Health; and Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Director of the Quantitative Life Sciences PhD program at 91丝瓜视频; and a Senior Scientist at the Lady Davis Institute鈥檚 Centre for Clinical Epidemiology.

Neuroimaging & Neuroinformatics Pillars: Dr Alan Evans leads the Neuroimaging & Neuroinformatics pillars: the 91丝瓜视频 Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (MCIN). He is a James 91丝瓜视频 Professor of Neurology & Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Biomedical Engineering and Director of the 91丝瓜视频 Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (MCIN) at 91丝瓜视频.

Genomic & Epigenetics Pillar: Dr Michael Meaney leads the Genomic/Epigenetics Pillar: the Sackler Program for Epigenetics & Psychobiology. He is a James 91丝瓜视频 Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology & Neurosurgery, a Senior Researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, and the Director of the Sackler Program for Epigenetics & Psychobiology at 91丝瓜视频.
