The Faculty recognizes the crucial role played by religion throughout history, as well as in contemporary society, and focuses on the study and analysis of the world's religions as phenomena of human society. The Faculty takes a multi-disciplinary approach to religious scholarship, incorporating a wide range of perspectives and methods.
All the Faculty’s programs are designed for students seeking to understand religions in their distinctiveness and in their interactions. Programs in Theology are designed especially for students wishing to qualify for ordained ministry or pastoral service through Christian faith communities. Religious Studies programs are designed for those who want to develop expertise in one or more religious traditions through a plurality of scholarly approaches.
