Resources/Procedures

Night Route Maps:

  • Want to find the best route through downtown and Mac campus at night? Consult the Night Route Map—suggested routes from each building are highlighted, as well as the location of emergency phones.

Emergency Call Procedure:

  • Consult our Emergency Call Procedure poster to know who to contact in the event of an emergency and who you can call in the event of minor incidents.

Emergency telephones:

We have a network of twenty-four emergency telephones installed outside throughout the campus.

  • These phones can be found inside the entrance of most major 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ buildings and inside elevators.
  • The telephones boxes have a blue light that is lit at night so you can see it easily.
  • Press the red button. You will be connected with Security Services.

Key Sign-out:

No one other than Security Services personnel may sign out Security Services’ keys. This procedure is in effect to protect against the duplication or loss of our keys. It does not affect the keys we hold on behalf of Facilities Operations and Development or Network and Communication Services.

Key requestors can choose from one of the following alternatives when needing access to a 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ building, department or room:

  • Book a Security Agent as per above instructions. The Security Agent will be given all the necessary keys and will escort the requestor for the access required.
    • There is a minimum 4 hour booking.
  • Obtain the keys directly from the respective building director, department head or room occupant, as applicable.
  • Macdonald Campus: Go to Security Services at Laird Hall Room 101 to sign keys out.
