HSP/PLS Canada: a patient-clinician-researcher partnership to accelerate HSP/PLS clinical care, decision-making and awareness
This project will establish 鈥淗SP/PLS Canada,鈥� a partnership among patients, family members, caregivers, family doctors and researchers to share knowledge about Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) and primary lateral sclerosis (PLS). HSP/PLS will advocate for improvements to existing clinical care, more funding for research and the advancement of clinical trials of novel therapies.

Mobilizing nocebo research to improve well-being
"Nocebo effects鈥� are additional symptoms that patients experience due to negative expectations about their medical treatments. This project reviews necro behaviours and offers related practical workshops at hospitals and universities. These workshops should improve the quality of patient interactions, reduce preventable nocebo effects, increase patient adherence to their treatments and improve patient well-being.

Open Science Research Ethics Review
This project focuses on the ethical standards and guidelines that are necessary to enable responsible sharing of patient and research participant data and biospecimens with international research communities for Open Science. Its aim is to develop a risk-based research ethics review framework for projects using Open Science resources to advance these practices in an ethically-responsible manner.

Neuroscience Mobilization at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
This partnership between the Convergence Initiative and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) will encompass a six-month series of events that will make use of the MMFA collection, exhibitions, facilities and staff. The project will feature a monthly series of events including guided tours of the collection, lectures, art therapy workshops and a curated exhibition

VIVA Mental Health: Building Capacity for Knowledge Translation in Mental Health
The objective of the VIVA Mental Health Program is to strengthen capacity for knowledge translation (KT) of mental health knowledge. The program will have 3 components: 1) a Studio, to enable the production of high-quality digital content; 2) Workshops, a training program for KT and production of digital content; 3) an Awards competition, followed by active dissemination of the digital content
