David Lussier
Associate Professor
Lussier's research interests include pharmacology of analgesics and new approaches to manage pain, with a special focus on older persons. He has written several review articles and book chapters on the treatment of pain in older patients and patients with cancer, as well as on adjuvant analgesics. He is also a co-editor of a book on 'Pharmacology of Pain' published by IASP Press in 2010. He has given numerous conferences, both at national and international levels.
Dr. Lussier is the founding chairman of a Special Interest Group of the International Association for the Study on Pain, on pain in older persons.

Dr. David Lussier obtained his Medical Degree from University of Montreal, in Canada and later completed a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. He also did a three-year training in Pain Medicine and Palliative Care at Beth Israel Medical Center, in New York. He is currently doing a Masters in Pharmacology at the University of Montreal, under the direction of Dr. Pierre Beaulieu.
He is Associate Professor at University of Montreal and Adjunct Professor at 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ, in Montreal, Canada. He is a practicing physician at the University of Montreal Geriatric Institute and the 91Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵ Health Center, where he has developed pain clinics especially devoted to older patients
